Which custom craft method is right for your idea?

3D printing, DTF transfers, laser engraving and UV printing can all create personalized items, but they solve very different creative problems.

The best process depends on whether we are creating the object itself, decorating fabric, permanently engraving a surface, or printing full-color artwork onto a rigid item.

A simple rule of thumb

Shape. Fabric. Etch. Color.

Need a custom shape?

Start with 3D printing. It creates the object, not just the decoration.

Printing on clothing?

DTF is our go-to starting point for detailed, full-color apparel graphics.

Hard surface?

Choose laser for an engraved look or UV printing when color is essential.

Not sure which one you need? That is part of what we help figure out.

Choosing a method

Common questions about custom craft production.

Which method is best for full-color designs?

For apparel, DTF is often the best fit. For compatible hard surfaces, UV printing is usually the strongest full-color option.

Which method is best for permanent etched detail?

Laser engraving is typically the better choice when the design should be marked into or onto the material rather than printed in color.

Which method actually creates the object itself?

3D printing creates the physical object layer by layer, making it useful when shape, dimensions, fit or moving geometry are part of the project.

Can a project use more than one method?

Sometimes. A project may combine a fabricated item with engraving, printed graphics or another finishing method when the materials and design are compatible.

Custom 3D Printing

Best when the object shape itself is custom.

DTF Apparel

Best for colorful graphics on compatible garments.

Laser Engraving

Best for crisp, permanent marked detail.

UV Printing

Best for vivid color on compatible hard surfaces.
